Who is the grant for?

EASI are delighted to confirm details of a new grant that is now available to help employers to offer apprenticeships to young people aged between 16 and 24.

Eligible employers are able to claim a grant of £1500, priority will be given to small businesses with less than 50 employees. To be eligible employers must be employing an apprentice for either the first time or the first time in 3 years.

By accepting the grant employers are making a commitment to support the apprentice throughout their qualification and to pay the minimum wage.

How is the payment made?

First of all you need to contact a member of the team at EASI to apply for the grant. Once you have been approved for the grant you are then able to start working with your apprentice.

You will receive a payment of £750 once the apprentice has been completed at least 8 weeks of training with EASI. A further payment of £750 will be paid upon completion of at least 12 months training.
